We are an online psychology clinic. All assessments are conducted via telehealth. In-person (face-to-face) appointments are not currently offered.

Psychologists do not prescribe medication. However, following your assessment, we can provide referral options to psychiatrists; who can assess suitability for medication, along with copies of your comprehensive report to assist with your appointment. If you plan to see your own specialist GP or psychiatrist, please check with them in advance whether they will accept an external psychologist assessment report before booking.

If you are seeking NDIS access, the comprehensive report and add-on support letter can form part of the supporting evidence for an NDIS application. For general psychologists, the NDIS requires a multidisciplinary approach, whereby input from another health professional (e.g., occupational therapist, general practitioner, psychiatrist) is also required. Eligibility is determined by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Yes, it can be requested at a later time, up to 3 months after the assessment. Please note that this is only available for comprehensive reports.

Medicare rebates do not apply to assessments at Tay Psychology.

Deciding whether to pursue a formal ADHD and/or Autism assessment is often a significant decision, especially given the time, energy, and finances involved. If you’ve been considering an assessment, there is usually a good reason to do so. Our assessments aim to provide clarity around an individual’s experiences. Whether to seek a diagnostic assessment is a personal decision, and you may wish to consider how an assessment could be helpful for you. Our assessments are thorough and we consider differential diagnoses and explore other co-occurring conditions (where relevant), alternative explanations, or whether the experiences you are having may be consistent with life stressors.If you do not meet criteria for Autism and/or ADHD, you'll still receive feedback, documentation, and recommendations.

If you feel it would be helpful to have a support person during your assessment, you’re welcome to have them attend your clinical interview and support you with your intake questionnaires.

Refunds are not available for assessment services. Please ensure this is a suitable service for you before proceeding with a booking. Appointments can be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the scheduled assessment appointment. Cancellations are non-refundable but can be credited toward a future assessment appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the assessment appointment are not permitted, and payment will not be refunded or credited. Due to the extensive preparation and scheduling involved in assessment appointments, bookings may only be rescheduled a maximum of three (3) times. Requests to reschedule beyond this limit will result in cancellation of the assessment booking, and any payments made will be retained by the practice.

Yes, feedback regarding the outcome of your assessment, including the key findings, rationale, and recommendations, will be discussed. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.If you would like an additional feedback session, this can be arranged for a fee of $500.00.

Yes, you can request a comprehensive report within 3 months of your assessment. You'll only need to pay the difference in cost.

You’ll receive questionnaires via email to complete before your appointment. Take your time - it’s okay if this takes a while to finish. There are no right or wrong answers. Your responses help us understand your experiences. If you’re unsure about a question or have trouble remembering, you can skip the question and talk it through with the psychologist during your appointment.You may also wish to involve someone who knows you well (if possible), such as a partner, family member or close friend. They may be able to provide helpful information about your past and present experiences.You can take a break at any time. Please keep the questionnaire window or screen open on your device and return when you’re ready. Once you’ve submitted your questionnaires, the psychologist will receive your responses.
